This Privacy Policy explains how Fria (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in connection with the Focavio mobile application and this website (together, the “Service”). Focavio is a focus app, and we have designed it to collect as little about you as possible.

1. Privacy at a glance
- We do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not show ads.
- We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
- Your focus history lives on your device. If you choose to back it up, it syncs through a secure cloud account tied only to an anonymous identifier.
- Location, when granted, is used on your device to suggest a nearby departure airport. It is not part of the information we store in the cloud.
2. Information we collect
When you use Focavio with cloud backup enabled, we collect a small amount of information so your focus history can be saved and restored:
- Anonymous account identifier. A randomly generated account ID used to associate your backed-up data with your device. It is not linked to your name, email address, or social profile.
- Focus session records. Details of completed focus flights, such as the chosen route, focus plan, durations, and timestamps. This is the data that powers your logbook and passport.
- Device & locale profile. Basic technical information including device model, operating-system version, country or region, language, and time zone, used to keep the app working correctly across devices and to understand aggregate usage.
We do not ask for your name, phone number, contacts, photos, or payment-card details. Apple processes any purchases (see Purchases & subscriptions).
3. Information stored on your device
Most of what Focavio creates stays on your device. Your settings, preferences, current flight state, passport stamps, and full focus logbook are stored locally. If you have not enabled cloud backup, this information does not leave your device, except as needed to deliver the app's core functions.
4. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Save your focus history and restore it across your devices;
- Provide core features such as the logbook, passport, and flight statistics;
- Keep the Service reliable, diagnose problems, and prevent abuse;
- Understand aggregate, non-identifying usage so we can improve Focavio;
- Respond to your support requests.
We rely on your consent and on our legitimate interest in operating and improving the Service as the legal bases for this processing, where those concepts apply to you.
5. How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for advertising. We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service, and only to the extent needed:
- Cloud backup & sync provider (Supabase). Hosts the secure database that stores your backed-up focus records against your anonymous account identifier.
- Subscription management (RevenueCat). Helps us determine your subscription status so Focavio Pro features can be unlocked. See Purchases & subscriptions.
- Apple. Processes App Store purchases and provides the platform on which the app runs.
These providers process information on our behalf under their own terms and security commitments. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.
6. Location
If you grant location access, Focavio uses your approximate location only while you are using the app and only on your device to suggest the nearest airport as your departure point. We do not transmit or store your location in the cloud, and the app works without location access — you can simply pick a departure airport yourself. You can change or revoke this permission at any time in your device settings.
7. Purchases & subscriptions
Focavio Pro is available as an in-app purchase. All payments are handled by Apple through the App Store; we never receive or store your payment-card information. We use RevenueCat to verify your purchase and keep your entitlement in sync across your devices. Subscription management, including cancellation, is handled in your Apple account settings.
8. Data retention
We keep backed-up focus records for as long as your account remains active so the data is there when you need it. If you delete your account from within the app, the associated cloud records are removed. Information stored locally on your device is removed when you delete the app. We may retain limited information where necessary to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
9. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because Focavio is built around an anonymous identifier, the most direct ways to exercise these choices are:
- Delete your account from within the app to remove your backed-up records;
- Delete the app to remove information stored on your device;
- Manage permissions such as location in your device settings;
- Contact us at support@fria.ai for help with any privacy request.
10. Children's privacy
Focavio is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. Security
We use reputable infrastructure providers and industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to limit what we collect in the first place.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
